The Plasma Science and Technology Institute (PSTI) at UCLA represents the largest university-based research effort in the world related to the forth state of matter known as plasma. It is an Organized Research Unit involving 36 faculty and about 150 researchers, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students from a variety of departments.
The Molecular Biology Institute at UCLA is a hub for interactions between scientific groups, focused on deciphering molecular structures and identifying regulatory cross-talk in living organisms. Since its inception nearly half a century ago, the MBI has catalyzed intellectual exchange across disciplines and departmental barriers. Today this mission remains at the forefront.
